The building had housed a widow of a merchant of Besoeki Tobacco Company (1922-), a German origin merchant in fertilizers company, whose family moved later to Sumatra (1928-). During the world war II, Marva - female Marine officers lived in the house. After the war, the house was handed into different hands finally sold to the state of Zaire in 1978 through a man in living in Belgium.
